About role

🚀 We’re looking for a hands-on IT Systems & DevOps Manager to lead our Azure infrastructure, DevOps capability, and high-performing IT Systems team.

This is a hybrid leadership + technical role for someone who thrives in modern cloud environments, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and can mentor and develop a growing team.

🔧 What you’ll own:

Azure cloud infrastructure & platform operations
CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices using Azure DevOps
Infrastructure-as-Code with Bicep
Cloud security, governance, and compliance
Team leadership, mentoring, and technical direction
Developer enablement and release optimisation
Containerisation strategy including Docker, Azure Container Apps, and future AKS adoption

💡 You’ll work closely with engineering teams to accelerate software delivery, improve reliability, and drive automation across the business.

🛡️ You’ll also play a key role in shaping our security posture — overseeing governance, vulnerability management, Microsoft security tooling, and frameworks including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.

✅ What we’re looking for:

Strong Azure and Azure DevOps experience
Expertise in CI/CD, YAML pipelines, and IaC
Hands-on cloud infrastructure and security knowledge
Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Previous senior/lead engineering experience
A collaborative leader who can coach and inspire others

⭐ Bonus points for:

AZ-400 / AZ-104 / AZ-500 certifications, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Docker, AKS, Power Platform, or Agile/Scrum experience.
